Alpine has introduced Oliver Oakes as new group principal, changing Bruno Famin.
Oakes will take cost of the System One group on the finish of the summer season break, making him the second-youngest group principal in historical past on the age of 36. Christian Horner took over at Pink Bull on the age of 31.
The information comes after Farming confirmed he’ll step down as F1 group principal on the finish of August.
Oakes based Hitech Grand Prix in 2015, with the UK-based firm main the single-seat racing championships together with System 2 and System 3. gained the 2005 Karting World Championship.
“I’m very grateful to Luca de Meo and Flavio Briatore for giving me this chance to guide the BWT Alpine F1 Workforce again to competitiveness.
“The core of this group has proficient individuals and wonderful assets, and I am assured we are able to accomplish quite a bit collectively over the rest of the season and past.
“I’m wanting ahead to beginning work after the summer season.”
Oakes will report back to Groupe Renault chief government Luca de Meo, who mentioned: “This group is constructed for future success, and Oli’s appointment to the senior function underlines this.
“We look ahead to leveraging his enthusiasm, vitality and keenness for racing and implementing that mentality throughout the whole group.”
