- Pool B: Canada, Scotland, Wales, Fiji.
- Pool C: New Zealand, Eire, Japan, Spain.
- D pool: France, Italy, South Africa, Brazil.
The knockout levels embody the quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place match and last.
The England Group A champion will face the Scotland and Wales Group B runner-up within the quarter-finals, the France Group D champion will face the New Zealand and Eire Group C runner-up, and the Group B champion will face the Scotland and Wales Group B runner-up. Group champion versus Group D runner-up.
The semi-finals will then pit the quarter-final winner of Group A (most likely England) towards the quarter-final winner of Group D (most likely France). Which means if New Zealand and Canada end prime of their group and progress, England will keep away from them till the ultimate – assuming the Purple Rose win their group.
