A person suspected of being a key provider of small boat tools to individuals smugglers has been arrested in Amsterdam in a joint operation by the UK’s Nationwide Crime Company (NCA) and Dutch and Belgian police.
In keeping with the NCA, the person is suspected of supplying engines and boats to smugglers in northern France.
The 44-year-old Turkish nationwide was arrested at Schiphol Airport on Wednesday and shall be extradited to Belgium to face individuals smuggling fees.
British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer stated the arrests have been “an essential half” of an answer to the Channel drawback.

Authorities stated the unnamed man transported provides from Türkiye, saved them in Germany after which shipped them to northern France.
