Japanese atomic bomb survivor wins Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Committee mentioned that Japan’s grassroots motion of “atomic bomb survivors” had confirmed that “nuclear weapons must not ever be used once more.”

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has determined to award the 2024 Peace Prize to the Japanese group “Nihon Hidankyo”. This grassroots motion of survivors of the atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, often known as the A-bomb Survivors, received the Peace Prize once more for its efforts to attain a world freed from nuclear weapons and to show by witness testimony that nuclear weapons must not ever be used.
