Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded to 3 protein researchers
Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper are members of Google’s DeepMind crew, whose synthetic intelligence know-how can predict protein shapes. The Nobel committee stated David Baker of the College of Washington designed “a brand new protein in contrast to every other.”

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (…) has as we speak determined to award half of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry to David Baker of the College of Washington in the US for his computational protein design. The opposite half was collectively given to Demis Hassabis and John Jumper of Google DeepMind within the UK for protein construction prediction.
