EU leaders nominated present European Fee President Ursula von der Leyen for a second five-year time period on the EU’s prime job at a summit in Brussels.
Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Karas has been chosen because the EU’s subsequent overseas affairs chief, and former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa has been chosen as the following EU summit president.
All three candidates come from centrist, pro-EU factions.
The European Parliament will vote on the nomination subsequent month.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed resistance.
